Winter Hunts

For a true Canadian winter experience, join Robson Valley Outfitters on a Trapline Adventure! Daniel, a lifelong trapper, has owned and operated his 80 square-mile trapline since the age of 15. This trapline, which along with another 360 square-mile trapline, is situated right in the middle of our hunting territory. You'll be based out of our comfortable main cabins, traveling to the trapline daily via truck and snowmobile. Depending on the area and weather, there may be an overnight stay in one of our remote cabins.

You will learn how and where to trap for species including Wolf, Wolverine, Lynx, Coyote, Marten, Ermine, Squirrel, and Beaver. The adventure is a hands-on experience, from setting new traps to checking the ones you helped create. You will learn proper and ethical trapping techniques, as well as traditional methods, skinning, and pelt care.

For a minimal fee, you can add a chance at hunting a prime winter Wolf. This is done in the early mornings and late evenings using baiting and calling techniques, and there is a very high success rate for harvesting a coyote during these sessions.

At the end of your trip, you will be able to take home your choice of one of each of the small species and have the option to purchase any of the larger species harvested. Daniel and Ashley would love to share their passion for this traditional Canadian way of life with you.
